letting Bree's go?What most people don't understand when comparing Brees and Rivers, is the fact that Drew Brees is running a completely different offense then Philip Rivers is in SD. The Saints have no real running game, therefore they have to rely on Drew Brees arm all game long, which is why Brees racks up 350+ yards a game. If the Chargers ran that type of offense, Rivers would have more passing yards and TD's. People are overlooking the fact that the Saints have no Reggie Bush and Deuce McAllister has been non-existent the whole season. I think Charger fans should regret for letting Cryan Leaf go.. Yes I believe they do, what they regret more Firing Marty Schottenheimer that should've never happen going from 14-2 two Years ago to a Possible 6-10 record to years later and last year in the AFC Title Game vs New England one win from the Super Bowl, now the Raiders may take over Second Place, I hope that doesn't ever happen.
BTW No Regret of Releasing Ryan Leaf is was and is Terrible. I've never believed a player should lose his job because of an injury (unless it's recurring of course). Especially when that player went to the Pro-Bowl and was voted Comeback Player of the Year the previous season.
I understand they were a little leery about whether or not Brees would return to form, but they should have at least given him a shot, maybe not like the Bears with Grossman, but certainly a few games.
I'm glad Brees is playing like a stud in New Orleans.
And yes, I'm a Charger's fan.They shouldn't, Rivers is doing as good as Brees would have if he was in the Chargers offense. Plus Rivers is younger, you have him for longer. Brees will peak this season, Rivers is still climbing.why would they regret that???????
