I'm moving into a new house. room is wired for speakers. have HD tv and PS3 and want to make the most of the sound too. What system can i get that would allow for this? any particular makes etc. i'm not all that technologically savvy so would appreciate recommendations about installation etc.! thanksI use my Surround Sound that i got. Wich has HDMI on it. i payed 250pnd for it. But well worth it.I am assuming that a ps3 (i'm an xbox man) has optical out (check the manual) you need a system with at least 1 optical in (on the decoder - not the "amp" as mentioned above) you will have a choice of either a 5.1 or a 7.1 system - go for a 5.1...more popular means more support.........
........personally i would say the creative DDTS-100 and a set of creative speakers...but DDTS-100's are discontinued....
......i wont tell you models but if you have a look at philips, denon, bosch or Bose. They are all excellent makes......creative speakers are exellent but they discontinued the decoder (a marvelous decoder...had one it broke :( but got something else)
My current setup is......AV device ---->logitech AV control center -----> Tritton ax360 decoder (comes with 5.1 headphones) ----> cutom rf / switcher box (remote switches between creative 5.1 speakers and tritton headphones) You can't just add speakers, you will need an amp as well. I would strongly recommend a separates system rather than home cinema in a box.
Have a look at Onkyo receivers, they're about the best value around at the moment, offering world class performance.
http://www.superfi.co.uk/index.cfm/page/...What you need is a Dolby 5.1 (or 7.1) receiver. You can use the HDMI connection (if the receiver will decode) or the digital optical connection.#If you have any other info about this subject , Please add it free.# |
