My mom just turned 80 years old and it is getting harder and harder for her to do stuff for herself. I'd really like to quit my job and stay home to take care of her, and I was wondering how I can apply for assistance so that I can do that. I didn't know where to start.Try your local senior care center, then Medicare/Medicaid then put an ad in the paper for a home aide to work for a small salary and room and board, I went through this with my Mom for the last 4 years of her life and ti is very draining emotionally you need to get help.ASKING THE SOCIAL SECURITY OFFICE IS A GOOD START. OR THE COUNTY AID BUILDING. BUT TRY GOOGLE AND PUT DOWN "IN HOME CARE PROGRAMS"
