Excel button adding help?

  • I want to be able to have a button in excel which can add value to another cell. e.g. have a cell that has a value of 6 (without a formula giving it) then have a button that when you press it adds to the value. im using excel 07


  • 1. Place the pointer of the mouse to any icon on the top, i.e Bold button
    2. Right click the mouse
    3. Choose the "forms" option
    4. A grid will come up. Click on "Spinner" (Button which shows two triangles) Then click and drag it to a cell ref.
    5. Click on control properties and state your criteria there. From here there is an option to link it to a cell.

    6. The end result is 2 buttons up and down which will increment decrement as you wish

    Hope this helps! (In excel 2000) should be something in 2007 like it
